COURTLAND BLADE

Courtland Blade

Courtland is a American painter and currently works and lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received a BFA in painting from Indiana State University and an MFA from SMFA, in affiliation with Tufts University. His work has exhibited widely in the United States and also has shown internationally. Courtland's current body of work dwells within these benign areas of non-place. This series of paintings captures specific moments of isolation within airports, supermarkets, new housing developments, subways, and hotels. They exhibit the presence of modernity, and the absence of humanity during periods when commercial activity has ceased and places are now vacant.

Uncommon Prints is proud to offer prints of the seven paintings shown below. Reproductions on canvas are available as a gallery wrap, or in a black wood frame. Click individual thumbnails below for more detail on available sizes and framing options.
