This is one of those rare paintings that sort of came out of my head. I will often use parts of different images to create one whole and in this case I used a photo of the balcony and the room across the hall was empty. I then inserted the couple from another image. I hoped to create a timeless feel to them; I pictured these two getting ready to go out for the evening, or maybe for the next phase of their life together.
